 Take my advice - only get a blank notebook if your hand-eye co-ordination is perfect, and you can face the relentless mindgames played by a page that has absolutely nothing on it.  They can be cruel, those pristine, virgin pages - what if my thoughts and doodlings are not good enough?  At least lined paper has already been defiled by someone else - and they've made a start - decided the fundamental layout  for you in advance.

Of course, if you have total confidence and steely resolve, (or you just want a blank page to work on) go for it!
